I am so honored to have Amanda as our Guest Contributor for members during the month of April! I am also thrilled that she agreed to interview with us- her mission truly is to ensure that all women regardless of background, race, socio-economic status, and any other aspect of their identity is able to advocate for their legal rights and receive legal protection for their business and families! Read on to find out more about just exactly she does this!

1.    Tell us about who you are and your journey to where you are now!

Hello! My name is Amanda Russell. I am a LegalShield advocate and change agent. I broker lawyers and connect people. I am passionate about helping to empower women with our Ladies of Justice movement. My focus is to help protect families and businesses by leveling the playing field and making legal services affordable to the masses. I also run a networking group called WE CAN Network. I also have a passion project I am working on with my biz partner called Jelly Social which is a non-profit that is focused on helping people connect with their passion and purpose and fostering more collaborations in our community. We have started our PassionHack Workshop called Design Your Life that we plan to host online bi-monthly. Our focus is on helping people to connect and tap into their purpose and support their Passion Projects that in turn help our community.

I have been a LegalShield Associate for almost 10 years now and created my networking groups to help connect with other business-savvy people in our community, grow my referral market and have created some amazing relationships along the way! I realize we are constantly transforming, and we have to be open to learning and ready to embrace change at all times. Every experience has helped me grow and I am only getting started. The best is yet to come!

2.    What is the mission of your brand? How does it empower women?

My mission is to help connect our community to their passion and purpose by creating events online and offline to provide them with resources and access to experts that will help educate and foster more collaborations to help us all achieve our goals and live in our potential.

My goal is to help empower more women by providing them with the education and resources to give them the confidence to go after their dreams, with a team of experts they can collaborate with to grow themselves and their business. By helping to provide affordable legal services we can level the playing field and support women so they can now access their rights regarding life or business matters, find out what their options are, and empower themselves without having to worry about their pocketbook. LegalShield provide our clients with unlimited consultation and document review. We have an app you can tap for 24/7 emergency access. We have these systems in place to protect your kids, loved ones and business.

3.    How do you collaborate with women working towards a better world?

I love to collaborate with women to work together to achieve a common goal- to help each other succeed in whatever goals we have set for ourselves. We support each other with the various services and products we offer and share our resources as well have our clients as guest speakers at our networking events so that they can share their stories. It is extremely powerful and provides referrals to our network to help support their businesses as well. I recently started hosting a Ladies of Justice event that connects women through sharing our stories and our passions. The event also educates women about our service to help empower them with access to their rights and to safe guard their family and their business. It also presents an opportunity to those women who are looking for ways to create an extra stream of residual income to support their household and fuel their passion projects. I’m all about helping women become more independent, self sufficient and confident in their endeavours.

4.    What is the biggest challenge you’ve had to press through as a female entrepreneur and what are the steps you’ve taken to overcome it?

The biggest challenge I have had to press through as a female entrepreneur would be learning how to manage my time between my family and my business.

I was blessed with a beautiful baby girl almost 4 years ago- her birthday is April 7th. As a full-time Entrepreneur, I had to figure out a way to still generate an income to support my household while raising my baby. I’m blessed and thankful to have a supportive husband and family that helped me with this transition. It truly takes a village! I had to learn to ask for help, manage my time efficiently and effectively to be able to sustain my LegalShield business, and grow my client base by using online techniques. The network I have built over the past 10 years has truly helped support me during these times. I was fortunate to have built a team and relationships along the way and became know as the “LegalShield person” in my community and now receive referrals from my network. I run two networking groups called, WE CAN Network and Jelly Social with another biz partner. Team work does make the dream work! Due to time restraints, I found a way to do meetings via Zoom and manage my business online which is even more vital with our current global situation.

My little girl has now become my daily motivation and teaches me every day how to be more patient, resilient and just go after what I want. I have regained a sense of balance if such a thing exists and learned to structure my day and create daily routines and goals to hold myself accountable to what needs to be achieved each day…some days are better than others, but I’ve learned no matter the day brings me I must keep focused and just keep plugging away.

5.    What sets your brand apart from others?

I would say since I am my brand- my realness, transparency and willingness to help be a life problem solver in life and/or business has set me apart from others. I represent community and collaboration as my focus by helping people in my community (individuals, families and business owners) in any way that I can. I provide women with a platform to educate and empower themselves with access to their rights with the services we provide, an opportunity to create an additional income stream and with access to a network of experts that will help them grow their referral market to live their life with passion and purpose.
