I also teach Inclusive Brand Marketing for the University of Chicago’s Department of Professional Education. I serve on the board of Project One Ten, a mentoring and academic coaching nonprofit serving young men of color in Chicago. I am also a member of the Nonprofit Pro Editorial Advisory Board. When I am not building brands, I'm building furniture and enjoying fun activities that fuel my creativity alongside my husband, Solomon and our Pom, Adobe .

2. What is the mission of your brand? How does it empower women?

Our mission is to partner with dream-chasers and industry experts to activate compelling, socially conscious brand experiences that change lives. Women are achieving at record-breaking levels, yet there is a women's leadership gap. Our personal branding work helps women clarify their goals and confidently share their businesses and talents with the world. They are able to make profound connections. increase their visibility and build authority in their industries.

3. How do you collaborate with women working towards a better world?

I love collaborating with game-changing women! Through my podcasts, women share their stories of success, empowering other women to be brand brave. I also partner with other women-owned businesses to host events, secure large-scale projects and support mentoring organizations such as Girls Inc. of Chicago.

4. What is the biggest challenge you’ve had to press through as a female entrepreneur and what are the steps you’ve taken to overcome it?

Visibility. I launched my business in November 2019, then a global pandemic happened. Businesses have had to pivot and many women were vying for the same opportunities to grow our brands. Surprisingly, I'm a bit of a shy extrovert. I love talking about my clients and empowering them, but talking about myself is sometimes challenging. But I've learned to take my own advice and ask for what I want. I've also found value in collaborating over competing with fellow female entrepreneurs. There's enough for all of us!

5. What advice would you give to a female entrepreneur in the beginning stages of launching her brand or business?

Build genuine relationships with people. Don't be transactional. Be patient. Building good relationships take time but are well worth it. Many of my clients became my clients because of the relationships that we've built over time, even prior to launching my business. I've supported their causes, promoted their gifts, and applauded their accomplishments.

6. What sets your brand apart from others?

We not only strategize, but we walk our clients through our 4-D process of brand development. We collaborate and educate, so that our clients can be good stewards of their brands. We don't hold hands, we high-five. It's a true partnership. With our personal brand clients, our process starts with confidence coaching. We are adamant about clients building authority and credibility in their chosen industries so that they are not confined to inauthentic spaces”.
